ara software package provides Command line utility for searching the Debian package database, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ara
ara is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ara package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ara *
You will get with ara package name, version, architecture and description in a table
